Remember when you were in the chorus or glee club? Well, some of you, anyway.

A colleague of mine sent a link along for Perptuum Jazzile, Slovenia’s only jazz choir. I was blown away by this vid and it gave me goose bumps. Here’s hoping you enjoy it and find yourself singing in your next shower.

Hank Azaria Will Be One Smurfy Gargamel!

The Smurfs is coming out in August, 2011 and I for one can’t wait. Sad, but true.

I had a few of the pocket-sized blue toys back in my formative years. All my friends did. I even watched the Smurfs on Saturday mornings, following the adventures of Papa Smurf, Smurfette, Brainy Smurf and the rest of the gang as they tried to outwit the evil wizard Gargamel and his cat, Azriel.

In the upcoming film, Gargamel chases the Smurfs out of their mushroom village and they end up in the middle of our world, in Central Park in New York City. Now the Smurfs need to find a way back to their village before Gargamel gets a hold of them. Naturally, a blueberry pint-sized adventure ensues.

Even more exciting is the all star cast including: Hank Azaria as Gargamel, Neil Patrick Harris, Anton Yelchin (Pavel Checkov from the recent Star Wars blockbuster), Jonathan Winters, George Lopez, Jeff Foxworthy, and Wolfgang Puck.

And if I can’t make this one in the theaters, it’s definitely going on the Netflix queue.

Pixar Goes Viral with Toy Story 3

Sure, I’m only helping Pixar‘s viral marketing campaign here, but I wanted to point out the great use of word-of-mouth and the Internet.

Coming out on June 18, Toy Story 3 takes viewers through new a new adventure with Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the gang as Andy gets ready to go to college. And Pixar is creating quite a product awareness buzz through YouTube with a bunch of retro videos, most notably the one for Lots-o’-Huggin Bear, one of the new characters in the Toy Story franchise.

Back to the viral video campaign, they’re deliciously 80′s with grainy imaging and a tracking blur on the bottom of the screen. The folks at Pixar created a YouTube channel, MrCrazycommercials, chock full of similar, but real, spots to complete the fun.
