Reclaiming our bedroom

Published by at 8:36 pm under Home improvement

As we’re only awaiting the placement of the cubby doors in the master bedroom, we spent the better part of this Sunday putting all the finishing touches in our bedroom so we could move back in.

Starting around 09:00, we touched up the walls that I spackled and sanded previously. Then we put together the closet shelf and rod system. It took longer than expected because we had to trim down two of the shelf sides approximately one inch because it was too tall for the closet. (We failed to communicate the unit height to our handymen and they failed to look at the box of what was going to be installed.)

There was also a lot of vacuuming, floor mopping, shaking the dust from and re-hanging of drapes, moving of furniture back into the bedroom, polishing of furniture,  hanging of a mirror and general cleaning and reorganization.

Once the doors are in place, we can move our clothes back in and then start on tidying and preparing the nursery.

Here are a couple of shots of the inside of the closet.
