Welcoming 2007

Published by at 11:36 am under food and dining, recreation

Our evening out to ring in 2007 didn’t go quite as planned. The meal and service that we expected to span the course of two to three hours at the Powow River Grille in Amesbury, MA clocked in at one-and-a-half hours.

For dinner, we enjoyed a delectable trio of tartars appetizer with steak, salmon and tuna, a rack of lamb in blackberry sauce with crispy potato wedge and veggies, as well as half a roast duck in cranberry sauce with spinach, rice and mashed potatoes. And it was all complimented with a Spanish rioja that knocked our socks off.

As Randye was fighting a cold and we would have been hard-pressed to kill another hour-and-a-half, we threw in the towel and came home to welcome the new year.

But we still managed to have an enjoyable evening. Even Bouche got in on the action.

Bouche never looked better. As a matter of fact, if there were royalty for cats, the ol’ boy would be selected as King Of The Kats. Did I spell kats correctly?

He’s king of something, but I’m pretty sure it’s not cats. Or kats.
