Nothing major to report today. Only one of the contractors showed up and he worked on more of the trim around the column areas to the main entry of the kitchen from the hallway.

We also wrapped up a frustrating saga with Home Depot trying to get some unfinished oak transition strips that cover the areas where the tiles of the kitchen floor meet the wood floor of the hall and dining room. There’s no need to go into the details of the seeming incompetence at the store, but in the end, we were able to special order the pieces we need, but it will take about seven to ten business days for them to arrive. We hope. It looks like the transitions will be one of the last things to be installed.
