Kitchen – Week 7, day 2
More finish work today. The foreman, who has proven himself to be a master finish carpenter, has been dazzling us with his skill, creating columns and beautiful trim that Randye and I dreamt about. And before our eyes, the kitchen of our dreams is starting to come together.
Today, we discovered shelves in our cabinets, more trim around the main archway to the hall and dining room, and all the floor tiles have been installed. Here are a few quick pics from today’s action.

Tomorrow, all of the trim work will hopefully be finished. Meanwhile, we’re waiting for cabinetry and crown molding that was originally incorrect to arrive, in addition to word from the granite counter folks. We’re also waiting to hear from the electrician at this point about a possible missing connection for accent lighting atop the cabinetry.
