Kitchen – Week 6, day 1
A busy day in the kitchen today, as the contractors focused on installing cabinetry. They also sanded down the rest of the plaster on the walls. The cabinet rep. came by to talk to Randye about a few details that came up with what was delivered and other than that, it was all about installation.

This is the view of the southeast corner of the kitchen.
Here is the view of almost the entire east wall.
Here is the pantry that will go next to the chimney. It awaits shelving and wine racks.

I love the color. Your mom and I had considered this color but the natural eventually won the day. As a matter of fact, we almost went with another (more expensive) outfit to get a color like yours. Alas, it was too much money. Anyhow it looks like it will be outstanding. Looking forward to being in it.
Thanks, Dad. We’re quite pleased with how they turned out, hoping they wouldn’t be too light, or too dark. The cabinet company we bought them from is called Merrilat, and they have a great reputation for a quality product, backed by fantastic customer service, at a very affordable price.
