The “brainstorm” from yesterday is a go! Since the work is essentially the same, they’re just going to go ahead make it happen — no upcharge required. Squeeeeee!

I always swore I wouldn’t be one of those fickle clients who change constantly, and I certainly hope I’m not turning into one. But man, when I saw the walls all open and the chimney completely exposed, everything just clicked in my head. This new direction is just a clearly more elegant solution to the pantry placement, our desire to open things up and dealing with constricted hallway space. I’m kinda pissed that the person we paid to design the new kitchen didn’t come up with it in the first place.

But I’m totally psyched (and I’m pretty sure Paul is too). No pictures to show yet, but once things take shape, you know there’ll be plenty of “Show and Tell”.
