Tarzan couldn’t take this kind of hot. The average temperature for the last four days was roughly 95 degrees in Essex County.

“(Pant) It’s too damn hot to even type,” Randye said.

To make matters worse, I suggested that Randye take her car for a drive during the day so she could cool off in the air conditioning. Unfortunately, I had her car and my car was in the shop. And she had to endure a power outage for an hour, which also killed the cell phone towers, so she couldn’t call to threaten my life.

The moral of the story? When your neighbor offers you a free AC unit, you say yes! (Thanks Gil and Karen!)
