It’s raining. What do you want to do? Start a blog?
I was supposed to go camping this weekend on Mt. Greylock, along the Appalachian trail in Massachusetts, but it’s raining. And thundering. And flash flooding. What’s a guy to do? Hmm, start a blog?
Here it is. The hot poop. Anyone who knows Randye and me will know how the blog name is apropos. (Hey, we had to make it fun.) Anyone who likes to keep up on what family and friends are doing, knows that it’s hard to keep tabs on what folks are up to. Wondering what we’re up to? Want to know the scuttlebutt? What’s the scoop with those two? And now we have this blog.
Visit often or subscribe using an RSS reader or aggregator. RSS is web-speak for really simple syndication and allows information to be sent to a remote location and read by a local program, rather than you having to surf the ‘net. Here are a couple options you may want to look into:
Bloglines (Web-based reader) – http://www.bloglines.com/
Sage for the Firefox browser – http://sage.mozdev.org/
Feedreader for PCs – http://www.feedreader.com/
Apple’s Safari browser – http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/safari/
If you have any questions, don’t hesitiate to contact us and we’ll be happy to walk you through all the gory, technical details. Meanwhile, keep coming back. Often.

Another way to get RSS feeds along with being able to check all of your pop email accounts is through Webmail http://www.webmail.us . I use it a lot when I\’m on the road.
